Great Eight: November 2011

With all our birthday's in the family around this time Halloween seemed to go by so fast. Trev was a sports star, USC or Lakers depending on the day, Abbey was a Pirate, my only picture of her got erased I will get one from her friends mom, Troy was a spy, Aubrey a Musketeer, from Barbie and the 3 musketeers, Tyler was a handsome prince, his idea, and Caleb was our sweet dragon. We had a blast celebrating all of our halloween parties this year. Trunk or treating at the church was really fun and all the kids enjoyed the Chilli cook off and carnival games before the Trunk or treat. Our fall festival in our neighborhood was a huge success. The kids had fun at a haunted maze, face painting, bounce house, hay ride, and roasting marshmallows and eating pizza. Carving pumpkins was gross as always to the kids. Abbey seemed to enjoy it more this year as did Aubrey, but my boys thought it was disgusting. And of course trick or treating was super fun. Abbey went trick or treating with her friends for Gracie's 10th birthday, Trevor went with Dayson, Troy went with Jackson and Cooper, and Aubrey went by herself. I couldn't keep up with her. When one of the neighbors asked her where the rest of her family was she said, " I don't need my family to go trick or treating." When I found Troy trick or treating I realized he was in a partial costume, which basically looked like what he wore to school that day. I found out Trevor was tired of Troy borrowing his under armor shirt so after he said Troy couldn't borrow it, Troy just decided to wear what he was wearing and go collect some candy anyway. Tyler loved trick or treating although after and hour and a half he was quite tired and fell asleep going to the last house, Manga and Pops. Caleb enjoyed lots of suckers.

Trevor

Trevor is 10 and has to be one of the nicest kids ever, at least according to his mom. He loves sports, whether it's playing or talking about them. He just finished basketball. He played point guard on his rec team and was selected to play on the all-star team for his division. He is now into baseball season. Brian is coaching his baseball team which Trev loves. Trev likes to impress his dad with his knowledge of sports. He is doing great in school, his favorite subjects are still recess and PE but math comes in a close third. Trevor placed 4th out of 350 runners in the cowtown kids 5k last month. He ran at a 7:30 pace and got awarded an extra special medal in front of his school. He is very proud of his medal and worked very hard to get it. We are very proud of him too he is a great friend, and good example to everyone around him. He is a hard worker and expects a lot of himself. He is an awesome big brother and if you don't believe me ask Tyler, who wants to sleep with "Trevie Bone" every nigh .

Abbey

Abbey is our free spirit. She loves the outdoors and nature and has a great love for animals. She just finished an after school art class that she loved and has developed a great talent and love for art. She is also doing great in piano, and along with her two brothers is improving every week. She is still better than them though, and with Aunt Amber's help is learning to play the Entertainer. She loves science and reading and memorizing poems. She has also grown to love basketball which she just finished as a leading defender on her team. She is aggressive in basketball which her coach (Daddy) loved. She is a loyal friend and sweet caring girl who is very helpful to her mom and baby brothers, and crazy sister who sometimes keeps her up later than she would like telling stories.

Troy

Troy boy is my witty 7 year old. He is quick thinking and has a cute little michevious smile. You can tell his mind is always thinking. He is a born leader and uses that power for good most of the time. he is great with little kids and has a lot of patience with them. He, of course, loves sports as well, and is not shy to tell you about his latest game, whether it is basketball, soccer, or baseball. He thrives on competition in and out of sports. He tends to do really well under pressure. He loves learning and gets upset if he gets anything less than 100. He loves anything that takes effort, except cleaning his room or doing the dishes.

Aubrey

I can't believe Aubrey is almost 5. She will be starting kindergarten in the fall and is attending preschool 2 times a week right now. She is always full of energy, and wants to take a big bite out of life. She loves being a big sister and is sooo good at it. She loves taking care of Caleb and playing with him, and babies just love her. She loves to be in charge which can drive her older brothers and sister a little nuts. She is getting very excited for school, and is starting to learn to read, which she is very excited about. She loves her friends and is playing on a soccer team with a few of them, with of course super dad Brian as their coach. It will be an exciting fun challenge to raise her and watch her grow up. She is a beautiful energetic girl.

Tyler

Tyler is our handsome, big brown eyed 2 year old. He is as sweet as sweet can be. He is absolutley into his 2 phase though. He is mischievious and full of energy. He loves chocolate milk, choo choo trains, and race cars. "No way mom" is his favorite thing to say and his ninny can't be too far away if he gets tired. I thought that blanket was going to be the end of my sanity he kept hiding it all over the house and then would cry when it came time for bed and we couldn't figure out he had put it behind the piano or in a door or stuffed in a box in the family room. He runs everywhere, and if you ask him his name, he always responds, "Me wookie." He has the best smile and laugh and loves to cuddle and play with all his brothers and sisters he makes everyone smile... well except when he wakes up and starts crying in your ear because he lost his blanket which is usually right next to him.
