Halloween 2009 Trevor was Edge from U2, Abbey Sharpay from Highschool musical, Troy was a GI Joe, Aubrey was Thumblena, or a princess ballerina, Tyler was frankenstien, and a pumpkin, mommy was a cat, I didn't know I owned that much black, and Dad was a USC football fan, or his Dad 20 years ago. What a fun holiday. They all had fun at our fall party in the neighborhood and getting candy at the turnk or treat, and their favorite was going to their Uncle Sean's Haunted house!

Tyler did a great job sitting there while mommy cut his hair. It was just a little trim, and Aubrey took all the pictures. She did a great job. Way to go my little photographer. Good job Tyler, way to sit still.

Tyler was very excited about his birthday. Actually he had no idea what was going on, except he got new toys and a bunch of people sang a song to him, and he got to eat something gooey and yummy with his fingers. He loved that part. No one, except tyler reached in the cake before it was time. They did awesome! He looks so cute with his little tie on!

Troy was so excited the night before he told me he had a hard time falling asleep. We had a great time. We went on a hay ride, played on a tree house, decorated a scarecrow, watched a movie about growing pumpkins, roasted marshmellows and played in the hay. I should say I got to watch most of it, troy got to do it. We each got a pumpkin, and troy took an extra one home for his friend maddie. She got sick and couldn't make the fieldtrip. I'm so glad I got to go and see him have so much fun.

We had awesome seats at the U2 concert. It was Trevor's first concert and he loved it. He knows every word of elevation and vertigo. For Halloween this year he is going to be Edge. For those of you who don't know Edge is the lead guitarist for U2. Amber and Sean came too, but we had to separate at concert time for different seats. Brian got us down to a lower level when U2 came on. He is sneaky sneaky.

Three weeks into school and I finally get to show you some pictures. All three kids are enjoying school and adjusting well. They are all still really tired at the end of the day, but they are having fun. Troy is figuring out the behavior rules and has stayed on green since he almost got on red a week and a half ago. Abbey loves school and is excelling at spelling and has really shown an interest in science. They go to science lab once a week, and PE and Music every day. Trevor, of course, loves PE and recess, but still gets 100 on his spelling tests. Aubrey is loving time with just Mommy and Tyler, and is having fun at preschool. She calls it mommy preschool. She is excited to have fun with her friends Emma and Christian this year. I am so glad that while the kids are away they have good teachers who truly care about the work they are doing.

Pictures do not do the majesty of this canyon justice. It took your breath away. We were getting tired and it was the last leg of our journey, but we are so glad we stopped! Great job Dad for picking out our destinations and planning our unforgettable trip.

We went to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium with Aunt Gem (Stacy) and Cousin Crash (Cooper). The kids loved seeing the sea animals and it was another great day for 6 cousins to hang out together. They even got to touch the bat rays.

What a beautiful backdrop to see the beach. We couldn't have asked for a clearer day. We had such a fun visit at Aunt Stacy's, Uncle Dustin's, and Cousin Cooper's.

We took a tour of Seattle and Lake Union on an aquatic bus called the Duck. It was a great tour, lots of info, but mostly the bus driver was crazy, and funny and played tons of fun music for the kids. The kids loved that the bus drove right into the water. We saw gas works park, the only gas plant left in existence, the house boat from sleepless in Seattle, and unbelievable views of Seattle. The kids got these cool duck bills from Grammie. They make duck sounds, how fun is that for a kid.

This was one of the most breathtaking places we went to on our trip. The trees were majestic. You felt like you should be whispering because it was so awe- inspiring. It took us over two hours to do a one mile loop.

On our trip to Seattle we went to Lake Meridian twice in a three day period. We were there from Noon to 8:00pm both nights. It was so fun for all of us to get out in the water, especially since Seattle had record breaking temperatures the whole week (an all-time record of 103 degrees one day). We had so much fun hanging out with all of our family, and were so glad we got to spend so much time with Aunt Melanie, Uncle Shannon, Mckenzie, and Garrett. We had a great time!

The ferry is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Seattle, and the kids love going. They were pretty cold, and tired though. They were all asleep on the ride home from the ferry to Grammie and Opa's house.

The water was perfect, the food was great, and the sleeping arrangements worked out well it seems too. Abbey told me that besides her family she would give up everything to live at the beach. She was suprised when I said I think a lot of people would. She loved this trip to the water and Seattle and said it was her favorite part of the trip.

Pictures from our 5 mile hike on Saturday while we were camping. We were all ready to jump in the cold water when we got back. It was a hot day in Seattle, even near the water. The view was worth the hike, until some of us figured out you can also drive to the top!

Camping is not camping without smores, ghost stories and a fire! Aubrey fell asleep early after a long day, but the other kids were so excited about smore's , and a fire they were up late into the night.

While in Seattle, we camped at Hood Canal. It was awesome!

This is our first stop from our 6000 mile fantastic summer trip. We hike the delicate Arch at Arches National Park in Moab Utah.

Tyler has been doing this a lot lately. He is still crawling on his elbows, but pulls himself up everywhere he can! He is a little monkey!
On Father's day Brian was opening his cards from the kids annd they decided how fun if we all jump on top of dad

4th of July

We spent the 4th swimming and watching an awesome fireworks show put on by our neighborhood . Cousins came over and hung out with us and we all had pie. At least that's what my kids would have written . They sure loved the pie, and cousins and fireworks. It was a great day. What better way to celebrate our country then with family.
